Nigel has just completed the delivery of "Valkyrie" an Élan 310 from Plymouth to Southampton in strong north westerly winds and flat seas during some very cold conditions.
Valkyrie was prepared for shipping with sails and deck equipment removed, mast, standing and running rigging removed and packaged for loading onto a ship. The hull was cleaned prior to loading onto a custom made cradle before being loaded onto a lorry for dispatch to the docks in Southampton before loading on board a Seven Star ship on 18th December.
Follow the progress of Nigel and Valkyrie at the beginning of next year when they sail from Hong Kong to the Philippines.
